Mumtaz Ali Murtazavi is born and brought up in Phanderi Sadaat, District of Amroha in UP in a religious family. He had moved to Mumbai with his father in 1987 where he studied in Madarsa Jamiatul Ameerul Momineen, Najafi House. He then moved to Iran in 1991 to join Al- Mustafa International University, Qum, for his higher education. Since 1998, immediately after completion of his education, he has been involved with social work in India, particularly in Delhi and NCR region. Mumtaz Ali Murtazavi has been associated with Imamia Charitable Trust for past 14 months. He always felt that our education require both modern and religious teaching with a broader viewpoint. This very thought led to the foundation of Al-Qaim Imamia Society on 1st October, 1999. Today, this society’s work and values are much appreciated and accepted by people. He is the co-founder of Wal Asr Imamia Trust which is primarily focusing on orphans for their education and livelihood.
